Sketches In Thyme Project Life #43 Challenge

Good Morning Alchemists

Today I thought I would share with you my very 1st project for the design team over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Blog.

This is a new venture for me using the fabulous Becky Higgins Project Life Scrapbooking Kits.
I have tried scrapbooking before  but probably like many of you find it daunting doing a whole 12x12 page in one go.
This is where these kits work the best, by using the 12 x12 Photo Pockets you have most of the layout done for you, all you have to do is choose the best cards etc that match to your theme.
In my page I used the This and That set where the colours perfectly match to my inspiration
which was our Handsome Chap Archer, our Chocolate Labrador who is sadly no longer with us.

The photos were taken when he used to go on his holidays and the owner
of the disgruntled used to take his picture whilst we were away. Then when we went to collect him she would give us these fabulous photos.

Why not pop over to the blog and have a look at all the other great designs by the team and have a go at entering the challenge.

All Dressed Up

Good Afternoon Alchemists

Well that's me back from my fabulous holiday in Spain
to celebrate my 50th Birthday.

So to get back into crafting mode I thought I would work with some fabulous Digi Images from

This Cute Little Ballet Dancer was perfect to go with Do Crafts Paper Pack
and a selection of die cut roses, and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
You will see that I have used some Lace from my stash and some pretty die cut swirls.
With this card it is all about the image, and these beautiful Buteerlies
are coloured with Windsor and Newton Pigment Markers.
Then I have printed it out again onto vellum paper and coloured on the back of the image,
then I have used an embossing tool to get some white work, they were then cut out and curled and then
layered onto of the original print to get more dimention.

Crafters Companion - Snowflakes are little kisses

Hi Alchemists,

Today I thought I would have a play with a cute little image from Crafters Companion.

Snowflakes are little kisses - coloured in with pro- markers and spectrum noir pencils.
Then mounted onto a circular easel card, frame is a tonic die, then i have used a mix of dark blue and patterned papers to mat and layer.
The floating snowflakes are die cut with x-cut dies on a mix of glitter card, then mounted onto acetate and creased to float around the image.

Visible Image Stamps

Hi Alchemists,

Today I have been busy tidying my craft room and guess what I found? Yes like many of you, I forget what I have and it is not until you have a sort out that you discover some new items, (that you put safe).

So I got out my Visible Image Stamps and my colourful brusho paints and got mixing to create some little magic.

Hope you like and gain some inspiration for stamping and messy crafting, or even tidying your crafty stash.

Love this image, and the stamp from Visible Image Stamps, works perfect with Versmark embossing pad and black embossing powders. Then sprinkled over brushos and spritzed with water to create alchmey.

As above stamp from Visable Image and done with black embossing powder and then a burst of violet and turquoise brushos, it really is like alchemy watching how they paint reacts to the water.
So this time I went vintage inspired with the Santa stamp from Visible Image, coloured with Ranger distress inks, then die cut a selection of pointsettia flowers, holly and then used a mix of dried moss and natural fibres from Anna Maraie Designs.
